libbey

The Toledo Museum of Art came to Toledo Twisted Iron for this unique project. It was to pay tribute to Edward Drummond Libbey and Florence Scott Libbey founders of Libbey Glass and the Toledo Museum of Art. The glass was done by the Toledo Museum of art while the Bronze work was done by TTI . In order to fasten the glass domes to the bronzes plate we had to create rings around them to fasten them from underneath to make sure they were safe and secure. The casted glass panels underneath the bronze are there to represent a water ripple effect. This piece is in front of the Libbey grave at Woodlawn Cemetery.
